ACLS Training (Skills) Course

This Skills training course provides you with a foundation for learning the proper skills for (ACLS) advanced life support.

Who Should Take This Course?

Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.

What does this course teach?

Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
Airway management
Related pharmacology
Management of ACS and stroke
Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

Prerequisites for the ACLS training skills course

Students MUST complete the theory e-learning course prior to registering for the skills training course.

To complete the the ACLS course and receive your ACLS certification please follow these steps:

Step 1: Enroll and complete the ACLS e-learning course with American Heart Association (AHA) at https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-acls the cost is $151.00. Once completed you are ready to schedule your skills check off

Step 2: Register for your skills check off by choosing this course and select check out. Then choose your date and time that works best for your schedule and proceed to final check out. Once you have registered and completed check out you will receive a confirmation email for your details for course attendance.

Step 3: Students are required to bring their completed certificate from their e-learning course to be admitted into the skills training course on their scheduled date. Students are also required to have a downloaded ACLS e-book or the hard copy book to use during the skills training course. Once students have completed their skills-training course students will be provided their ACLS provider card by email prior to leaving class.
